    • Polaris Industries is currently the largest manufacturer of snowmobiles in the world. It sold its first snowmobile in 1954, and then expanded its line of vehicles in 1985 with the inclusion of ATVs. In 1992 it introduced its own line of watercraft. In 1997, Polaris released the Ranger off-road utility vehicles, and in 1998 it introduced its Victory motorcycle series. It competes with major companies, such as Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, Bombardier and Arctco. Several Polaris vehicles are on the market today that offer a wide range of torque and performance specifications.

    2011 800 Pro-RMK 155 Snowmobile

    • The 800 Pro-RMK 155 Snowmobile is the product of years of research on improving the 2007 Dragon RMK. Compared to the old 800 Dragon RMK, the 2011 model is 41 lbs. lighter at 431 lbs. In spite of being lighter, its chassis is 300 percent stiffer than the IQ snowmobile series. It also features a refined RMK Coil-Over rear suspension system that provides traction in varying conditions. Compared to other snowmobiles, its coil-over suspension has a relatively longer front torque arm.

    2011 Ranger Series

    • Polaris introduced its 2011 Ranger utility vehicle lineup in 2010. Its Ranger series is released in full-size, mid-size, multi-passenger and RZR versions. The Rangers utilize a .904L three-cylinder diesel engine which can reach a top speed of 35 miles per hour. They can tow a maximum of 2,000 lbs. and can carry 1,500 lbs. of payload. Meanwhile, the RZR line sports an improved fuel management system that improves fuel efficiency by 30 percent. It has a maximum power of 55 horsepower and features a 60 percent increase in cargo capacity.

    2011 Victory Motorcycle Series

    • Polaris introduced 15 motorcycle models for its 2011 lineup, all of which are equipped with the Victory Freedom 106/6 V-Twin engine. The V-Twin engine comes in stage 1 and 2 versions. The stage 1 version has a maximum power of 92 horsepower and 109 foot-pounds of torque. The stage 2 version can reach a maximum power of 97 horsepower and 113 foot-pounds of torque. The stage 1 V-Twin is used by the touring motorcycles, such as the Cross Roads, Cross Country, Victory Vision Tour, Arlen, and Cory Ness' Signature Series. The stage 2 V-Twin is installed on the cruiser models, such as the Vegas, Vegas Jackpot, Kingpin, Hammer, Hammer S, 8-Ball cruisers, and Zach Ness Signature Series.
