Baby sitting usually happens at night time for Girls or Boys from 14 years of age and as a baby sitter you will have need prove already with other families or family that you are more than able to look after children.As a baby sitter you  must be competent and capable as parents trust you with their precious babies or older children.parenst need to feel that they will be safe and well looked afterwhilst they are not there.
Looking after babies especially newborns can be very demanding a mum may find it hard to relax and want to have an evening out with her friends so it may be very hard to trust you for the first time she goes out.
 If you are young or inexperienced with babies their constant crying is their only way of letting you know that they need something.A parent may leave you a list such as bottle at this time or they need a sleep lying this way don't be fooled into thinking you know it all and are more excited about being left in charge than to really listen and take onboard parents express wishes. You will then find you are thrown in at the deep end and don't really know what to do. so its important to listen to the care instructions parents leave with you.I rememeber someone saying to me  "oh look at these photos of this 3 week old baby baby I baby sat him last night and found it hard to rememeber what mum said when she finally left me to got out. I was on the phone to her most of the night and she kept laughing at me". Its a good job it was a relatives baby she was looking after or she may not have been picked again to do more baby sitting jobs for her.
Do you enjoy taking care of children but know that you don't want to do it full-time or in a daycare setting
 Knowing basic first aid and having so me type of childcare certificate makes you considerably more marketable and assures parents you mean business and can handle an emergency
Build a babysitting list of all the care experience you have had to show perspective parents. Make sure to include any volunteer or paid work you have done with children
 It also helps to talk to experienced babysitters to see how they do things or ask them can you work along side them to get some experience with the families support first.
