How to Troubleshoot Unlocking the Oven Door on a Frigidaire Oven
- 1). Watch the display during and after the self-cleaning process. The words “Hot” and “Door” will show in the display, and the control icon will be illuminated to show that the oven is too hot to touch and the door is locked.
- 2). Wait until the words “door OPn” appear on the display and the "Control Lock" icon flashes to show you that the oven has cooled enough and the door is unlocked.
- 3). Press “Cancel” if it is necessary to stop a self-cleaning process. Avoid attempting to open the oven door when the "Control Lock" icon is illuminated at any point during the self-cleaning cycle or for at least one hour after the self-cleaning process has finished or has been stopped. Damage may result to the oven door.
- 1). Touch and hold the "Control Lock" icon keypad for three seconds.
- 2). Release the "Control Lock" icon when “door OPn” appears on the display.
- 3). Repeat the same steps to reengage the "Control Lock" feature as needed.
- 1). Press “Cancel” if the self-cleaning process has not been active for at least two hours or "Control Lock" was disengaged but the door remains locked.
- 2). Unplug power to the Frigidaire oven to perform a power reset.
- 3). Wait 15 minutes and restore power. Contact Frigidaire for service assistance if the door remains locked.
