- 1). Contact your mobile provider and opt in to the wireless hotspot feature. There is a monthly charge for the service.
- 2). Touch the "Home" key on your phone to return to the home screen, then touch the arrow on the left side of the screen to open your available applications.
- 3). Select the application provided by your cell provider to utilize the hotspot feature. Sprint uses the application "Sprint Hotspot."
- 4). Click "OK" to confirm you read the basic information about the application.
- 5). Press where it says "Sprint Mobile Hotspot" to check the box and enable the capability.
- 6). Type an SSID into the "Router name (SSID):" box, which identifies the phone to computers trying to access the hotspot.
- 7). Type a password into the "Password" field to prevent unauthorized users from accessing the connection.
- 8). Select "Manage Users" to set the maximum number of connections to allow. It is set to five by default, but can be increased up to eight users. More users sharing the connection will slow down your connection speeds.
