It's a tough job to get out, break free, and forget about that rat race.
I'm still working at it; but somehow getting closer.
At least I like my job, I'm making good money.
You don't often see someone without a GED making over 120,000$ a year.
But I worked hard to get to this point.
Anyways, I'm not a selfish guy; I'm compassionate for all the people out there who can hardly get by; the ones who constantly have to tighten up their belts to make it to the end of the month; the ones who are struggling to feed their kids.
All those people truly deserve a relief.
These guys want to live up their dreams too, get out of the ghetto, have a good life, put their kids in college, buy a comfortable house, and maybe travel once or twice a year.
Why not? Everything is possible! Believe me.
I remember the days when my mother had a hard time putting food on the table.
There is no shame in getting a meal from the food bank.
But it certainly doesn't taste like a AAA Steak from The Keg.
But hey, when times are hard, you do what you got to do.
That was 10 years ago; and I'm still alive to tell the story.
I can't say it was that bad, but I'm just saying it could've been better.
6 Month ago, I was renting a one bedroom basement suite with my girlfriend.
I was working for UPS; 60 hours/week and barely bringing 500$ home at the end of the week - keep in mind I'm talking about Canadian currency here, so that's something around 350$US I believe.
Anyways, that's not the point.
One day my girlfriend and I decided it was time for a change, so we left our jobs and traveled across the country.
We didn't have any plan when we left Québec.
We just knew that there was something better out there - And guess what.
Today, 6 month later, we're owners of a 650,000$ house in Alberta.
All I'm saying is that you have to DARE sometimes.
Get out of your "comfort zone".
Explore all the opportunities that this wonderful world has to offer.
How will you know what it tastes like if you've never taken a bite! Don't think twice or hesitate; just grab your life by the horns and DO IT! If you dip your toe and think the water's cold, you won't go for a swim.
But you'll never know how good the water is unless you DIVE.
See for yourself; do you think I would be here today if I didn't dare? You can't accomplish anything if you don't TRY!
