How to Hang a Mirror With No Frame
- 1). Locate the wall studs on the wall where you plan to install your mirror, using a stud finder and marking lightly with a pencil. Standard distance for studs is 16 inches from center to center; mark both the top and bottom of the stud where the mirror will be placed.
- 2). Draw a faint line where the bottom of the mirror will be, using a level to be sure it is straight. You will want you mirror located so that the center of the mirror is between two wall studs; it does not have to be exactly centered.
- 3). Attach a mirror clip on each stud, locating the top edge of the clip even with the line and screwing it into the stud but not tight to the wall.
- 4). Set the mirror on the clips and lay it flat against the wall, holding it into place.
- 5). Tighten the bottom clips snugly; they will now support the mirror but will not hold it to the wall, so be sure to keep a hand on it at all times.
- 6). Screw the top clips into place by first sliding them over the edge of the mirror and tightening the screws snugly.
