How to Use a Measuring Wheel
- 1). Wipe the wheel of the measuring wheel with a damp rag to remove debris. Read the stamp located on or above the four wheel counter displays to determine if measurements are wheel revolutions or feet.
- 2). Set the wheel at the starting point you need to measure. Press the reset button to set the counter to zero.
- 3). Walk at a steady pace along the distance you are measuring, while keeping the measuring wheel upright. Pick the wheel up from the ground when you reach the end of your measurement.
- 4). Read the number displayed on the counter. Convert the number displayed on the measuring wheel counter to feet, if necessary. To do this, multiply the number displayed by the feet-per-revolution stamped on the counter.
- 5). Clean the measuring wheel with a rag before storing to remove large debris that could damage the measuring surface.
