As an online article writer with over 26,000 items, I can tell you often feel frustrated and wondered if the item has just produced, I spent over an hour will be read by people enough to worth my time. It is sometimes randomly, sometimes, it's actually the fault of the online article writer (me) for not submitting the best article title, or be able to capture the reader's attention in the first paragraph.

I calculated that you are between 12 and 15 seconds to do that, or your feed reader will click on leave. Therefore, even if you have a really good title, one that is compelling and attention-grabbing, still not enough. Read or scan the first paragraph, and look down the page, if they find nothing interesting new facts of information, you click on exit.

An online reader makes a lot of exploration and 12 seconds, actually scan the entire page including the article that may be surrounded by advertising, or other links to click on.

If you are unhappy with the contents of the article, but have been - and will not return, at least not to read that particular article of yours. I have less than 30 seconds to capture their attention with this post. "That was an interesting way to make a statement, as he was advising others online article writers exactly what it takes to keep the attention span of today's online reader who is surfing through Internet.

Now, Dave Copeland had written an article on Read Write Web on March 16, 2012, which was an interesting piece entitled "Best practices for writing for online readers," where he said: "I have less than 30 seconds to capture their attention with this post.

That was an interesting way to make a statement, as he was advising others online article writers exactly what it takes to keep the attention span of today's online reader who is surfing through Internet. Personally, I'm not sure that you have 30 seconds, Copeland may have overestimated because in the Internet world of 30 seconds is an eternity.

Consider yourself if you want, how many times have you clicked on a video, realized I had to put in 30 seconds of your time before the video played, and just tell yourself, " oh screw it, and clicked, "and not even see if the video was any good or even really knew what they were not willing to put in 30 seconds. I would say the number is more like 12 to 15 seconds as I said earlier.

However, if it is 30 seconds, 20 seconds, 15 seconds, 10 seconds, or whatever it is, the point should be well taken, Dave Copeland, and I are probably correct in our assertion that you have a very limited time to catch the attention of your reader. And if they do, they will not stay. So if you are wondering.

"How I can assure readers can read my articles?" The answer is that it is best to call your attention, you have something worthwhile to say and get it done quickly, in the first paragraph, or will not continue with the process. Please consider this and think about it.
