Changing Your Diet Isn"t Hard, Try It!
Back before I started living a healthy life, I ate like food was going out of style.
Pizza here, Wendy's there, it didn't stop.
I didn't eat in the morning like you should, and ate really late at night.
I always had a nice big midnight snack, or 3 am snack.
This contributed to my huge gain in weight.
However once I decided enough was enough, I started to slowly change the way I ate.
I did this to coincide with the beginning of my cardio routine.
Did you know the failure rate for a diet is around 96%? How do you become the other 4% successful dieters? First and foremost, don't even call it a diet, I surely don't.
Why the label? What I do is say that I'm eating the way I'm supposed to.
I am eating the way my body was designed to be fed.
Your body evolved to the fruits, vegetables, and meats that our ancestors ate to survive.
In my opinion one of the reasons for all the heart disease and cancer in America is all those snacks, soft drinks, and everything else unnatural to the body.
Would I eventually die if I kept eating cyanide? Of course.
Take a look at all those ingredients on the box of some Twinkies, or even a Nutrigrain bar.
Only someone with a masters degree can explain to you whats in those products.
Its all about changing the way you think, which changes the way you feel, and eventually changes the way you act.
I started first by just getting rid of all those unhealthy foods, and I slowly added vegetables and fruit to my diet.
I didn't completely change the way I ate in one day.
It was a slow process.
The reason a lot of people fail at eating healthy is that they try to do it all at once.
When you start slow, you begin the process of changing the way you think.
After I started eating vegetables I said to myself, wow I feel good about doing that.
I felt healthier.
So then what did I want to do? I wanted to reinforce the way I felt.
I did this by adding more healthier foods to my eating habits.
And doing this, I changed the way I felt slowly over time, which led to me thinking one day, don't I just want to feel this good all the time? Why don't I eat even healthier.
I eventually added supplements to my diet to fit the lifestyle I was starting to live.
To me its exponential growth.
The more you eat correctly the way your body wants to be fed, the more you will feel that confidence to keep going, and to keep eating right.
Your actions change as you feel this confidence.
And before you know it, you will have completely changed your diet.
So don't start it all at once, take some time to adjust and you will find that you have it in you to eat the healthy way, and live a longer better quality of life.
I want to add, the other day I felt the effects of my eating habits in a positive way.
I woke up early, I was in the sun for around 6 hours doing work outside.
This would usually have drained energy from me, and after I would be done, I would have taken a nap.
However when I was done with the work, I realized how much energy I had, and went to the gym! When I got home I still was not tired, so I did not take a nap.
I got more done in my day.
This is the benefits of having a balanced and healthy body.
No "2:30″ crash or whatever you want to call it.
No need to consume vast amounts of energy drinks to stay awake.
Your body will have that energy provided to you through eating the way your supposed to.
And you will feel sooooo good.
