The New Financial Bonus Of Using Hypnotherapy To Stop Smoking Or Lose Weight

As if using hypnotherapy to assist you in losing weight or helping you to stop smoking wasn't good enough, the National Institute for Health and Clinical Evidence or NICE to you and me is offering rewards to those people who chose to try it.

The nice people at NICE have put forward proposals to reward people to stop smoking which could now be extended to attempts to lose weight as well. NICE shapes the national policy for the NHS, as well as approving medicines and pharmaceuticals for clinical treatment. It also evaluates the cost effectiveness of certain measures based upon limited pilots run at selected trusts around the country.

Following the success of several schemes in the NHS trusts across England and Wales, NICE is now considering offering people with weight problems financial rewards for successful hypnotherapy treatments to lose weight. In a recent successful project in Kent they paid people up to 425 to lose their excess weight. Supporters of the scheme at NICE say that by encouraging people to use hypnotherapy to bring about lifestyle changes through financial incentives, the NHS can save money in the long run. They claim that there would be significant savings by removing the root causes of lifestyle related health problems before they develop into costly medical conditions.

So this has to be great news for those people considering losing weight or trying to stop smoking, an added incentive has been thrown into the ring to help with that final push towards a healthier lifestyle. Some opponents have likened these proposals to bribery, but surely offering a bribe on ethical grounds to get people to become healthier and ultimately happier and at the same time release the burden from our medical services the proposals make both humanitarian and business sense.

As someone who has successfully used self-hypnosis in the past and still uses it for an occasional boost of confidence I think this is a great opportunity to bring the benefits of hypnotherapy to the general public's eye as a safe and effective means of losing weight or stopping smoking and away from the mysticism and stage show entertainment image that it is so often wrongly perceived as.
