How to Convert a Shed to a Man Cave
- 1). Haul everything inside of the shed out of the shed. Sweep and mop the floor. Wash the windows with window cleaner, a squeegee and paper towels. Paint the walls and ceiling with black or brown paint using a paint brush and paint roller.
- 2). Set a couch along one of the walls of the shed. Place a rug on the floor in front of the couch. Put a coffee table on top of the rug. Set end tables at each end of the couch. Place lamps on each of these end tables. Spread out his favorite magazines across the coffee table.
- 3). Place an entertainment center on the wall opposite the couch. Put a T.V., DVD player and video game player in the designated areas of the center. Fill the drawers or cupboards of the center with his favorite movies and video games. Plug in the devices. Set the video game controls and remote controls on the coffee table.
- 4). Set a refrigerator in an open corner of the shed and fill the fridge with his favorite snacks and drinks. Fill the freezer with frozen microwavable foods. Set up a folding table along an open wall. Set a microwave on this table. Set a five-gallon water dispenser on this table equipped with hot, warm and cold water capabilities. Set boxes of his favorite easy to make dry goods and powdered drinks on this table. Set an electric hot plate on this table. Set a medium pot and medium frying pan next to the electric plate. Set paper plates, cups, bowls and plastic eating utensils on this table. Put a garbage can at one end of the table.
- 5). Hang a dart board on an open wall along with any favorite sports, hunting or glory days photos and memorabilia using nails and a hammer. Set up a pool, foosball or air-hockey table in an area where players won't block the line of site to the television. Set up a stereo system in an empty corner and place the remotes on the coffee table. Wire the stereo in with the television, dvd player and video game player to create surround sound. Place speakers on both sides of the couch and on both sides of the entertainment center and wire them to the sound system.
- 6). Set up electric heaters if the shed isn't heated to keep the shed comfortable during cold days and nights. Hire a cable and internet company to install his favorite television channels and internet. Set a desk in a free corner with a comfortable office chair. Place a computer on the desk. Fill the drawers with pens and notebooks for brainstorming.
