    Ride-On Toys

    • Toddlers are beginning to move around on their own, making ride-on toys perfect gifts for boys this age. There are two main varieties of ride-on toys including toys such as animals that have wheels on the bottom, allowing him to move it by pushing his feet, or toys that he climbs on and can either bounce or spin on. Toddler boys enjoy ride-on toys such as cars, trucks and trains. Ride-on toys give your toddler the ability to improve his balance, mobility and strengthen his leg muscles.

    Puzzles

    • Puzzles are a toddler boy gift that provide entertainment and teach him about shapes and colors, as well as improving his motor skills by using his hands to fit the puzzle pieces. Start with simple puzzles, that have no more than three or four pieces. Once he gets the hang of those, you can get more difficult puzzles for your toddler. Puzzle images for toddler boys include his favorite cartoon characters, ABC puzzles and vehicles like trains and trucks.

    Vehicle Toys

    • Vehicle toys, such as airplanes, cars, trucks or trains help stimulate your toddler boys imagination while he plays. These toys often have parts that move for your toddler to explore, like a dump truck that can dump smaller toys out, a car with doors that open or an airplane that has several movement functions. These toys also imitate many things he will see in the world, providing more interest in these familiar objects.

    Animal Playsets

    • Interactive animal-themed playsets give your toddler boy a chance to explore the different scenes, buildings and animals. These types of toys often come with a building and animals that coordinate, such as a farm with farm animals and farm vehicles. Your toddler will spend hours exploring his farm, seeing where farm animals go and listening to their sounds with an animal sounds farm.

    Musical Toys

    • As your toddler boy grows, he begins to use less hand movements and pointing, and explores the sounds his voice makes. He also uses objects and toys to make noise for different effects. Musical toys give him the chance to play with sounds and instruments, like a musical instrument made for toddlers or a musical play station. Many of these are also at a height that requires him to stand while he plays, strengthening his leg muscles and improving his balance.
