How to Clean an Encrusted Broiling Pan
- 1). Fill a sink with hot water. Add 2 or 3 tsp. of dish detergent. Place the broiling pan into the hot water, and allow it to soak for 30 minutes.
- 2). Wash the broiling pan with a scouring pad, and rinse it thoroughly.
- 3). Check the pan to see if any burnt-on food remains. If it does, spray the pan thoroughly with full-strength ammonia or oven cleaner.
- 4). Place the broiling pan into a garbage bag, and seal the bag. Allow it to sit for a few hours or overnight.
- 5). Open the bag carefully and avoid inhaling the fumes. Remove the broiling pan, and wash it again with hot water and dish detergent.
- 6). Rinse the pan well, and dry it.
