How to Clean for Janitorial Services
- 1). Empty trash pails upon entering an area. With the duster, remove any cobwebs or hanging dust from the ceiling. Pay close attention to corners.
- 2). Dust desk tops, window ledges and computer monitors before dusting baseboards.
- 3). Clean any glass surfaces or mirrors with a glass cleaner. Buff with a dry cloth to remove lint and streaks.
- 4). Sweep hard floors, such as tile and wood prior to mopping.
- 5). Vacuum carpeted floors.
- 1). Dust the high areas first, followed by baseboards. Empty trash.
- 2). Clean mirrors and glass fixtures with a glass cleaner.
- 3). Wash counters and tiles with either a homemade bleach mixture (8 oz. of bleach per gallon of water) or a ready made cleaner. Buff counters and tile with a dry cloth to remove streaks and marks.
- 4). Pour bleach mixture or appropriate ready made cleaner into urinals, toilets and sinks. Swish urinals and toilets with a toilette brush. Scrub sinks with a stiff brush or wipe with a terry cloth towel, as appropriate. Wipe down the exterior of all fixtures.
- 5). Sweep floor of loose debris before mopping with either a bleach mixture or appropriate ready made cleaning solution.
- 6). Keep bathroom and kitchen closed to public until floor is dry.
