- 1). Use a memory card reader to transfer information. Remove your SIM card from your old phone and place it in the memory card reader. Attach the memory card reader to the computer and transfer data from your old SIM card to the computer. Remove the old SIM card from the memory card reader.
- 2). Place your new cell phone's sim card into the memory card reader. Transfer the information that you collected on your computer into your new SIM card. Use your mouse to locate each folder on your SIM card that you want to place information in.
- 3). Remove the new SIM card from the memory card reader and place it in your new phone. All your data from the old phone will be in your new SIM card.
- 4). Go to your service provider's store. You do not always have to purchase a SIM card reader to transfer information. Ask the store attendant at the store to transfer information from your old phone to your new phone.
