    • 1). Decide on a gimmick or an advertising stunt to entice teens to attend the event. For example, work a raffle for a free prom limousine into your promotions, which can encourage teens to attend. Keep the cost of the event low if you must have one, since teens may opt for a less expensive option, such as the movies, if your cost is too high. By promoting a free or inexpensive event, you can entice more teens into attending.

    • 2). Inquire at local high schools to see if they will allow you to promote your event at the school. If the event is in line with the school rules and values, they are more likely to agree. If they allow it, post fliers around the school, such as on bulletin boards and in the cafeteria. Distribute coupons and tickets to the classes. Ask to make announcements over the school intercom, or include your event information in the scheduled school announcements.

    • 3). Target local radio stations that have a high teenage demographic and run promotional spots on the stations. Choose times teens are likely to be listening, such as early in the morning and midafternoon, when they are typically traveling to and from school.

    • 4). Run ads promoting your teen night event in sections of newspapers that are likely to be read by teens. A prime section is the portion of the sports section that covers high school sports.

    • 5). Post Facebook ads on the social networking site that target teens in the local area. When posting a Facebook ad, you are able to target the recipients by age, gender and location, among other criteria.

    • 6). Set up promotional and informational booths outside of areas that are frequented by teens, such as malls, movie theaters and skate parks. Create signs and fliers that detail the event and can entice the students to attend.
