Removing Salt Stains From Black Satin Shoes
- 1). Allow the salt to dry, and then brush the stain with a clothes brush to remove the excess salt. This will not remove the entire stain, but it will improve it.
- 2). Mix a solution of 2 cups of water and one-half tablespoon of vinegar.
- 3). Dip a cotton ball into the vinegar water, and rub it on the salt stain, wiping with the grain of the fabric. Continue dabbing at the stain until it is not visible anymore. If you need more of the solution, dip a fresh cotton ball instead of reusing the first one.
- 4). Dab the area of the stain with a dry cotton ball, to remove as much water as possible.
- 5). Use a hairdryer turned to the cool setting, to dry the stain. This will reduce the chance of watermarks.
