- 1). Touch "Menu" from the Samsung Behold's home screen. Touch "Settings" and select "Sound Profiles" from the list of options.
- 2). Touch the pull-down menu and select "Message." Touch the "Message Alert Type" field and select "Text Message."
- 3). Touch "Melody" or "Vibration and Melody" and touch the "Message Alert Tone" field. Select the ringtone you want to use for text messages and touch "Save."
- 4). Touch the "Message Alert Repetition" drop-down menu and select either "Once" or "Periodic." If you select "Once," the alert is repeated once to remind you there is a new message. If you select "Periodic," you are reminded periodically.
- 5). Touch the "Alert Tone Volume" field and set the volume for the ringtones. Drag the slider up or down to decrease or increase the volume. Touch "Save."
- 6). Touch the "Message Alert Vibration" field and select the vibration you want to use. Tap each one to get a sample of the vibration type. Touch "Save."
