You go to sleep every night on time only to find that you're waking up a few times a night to do a numerous amounts of different things.
Here's the real deal.
If you want to get a better sleep at night you have to teach yourself how to.
It's not usually something that simply happens to one who has always had sleep problems.
It really does take some work, but note that the rewards for your work are definitely worth it.
Why is sleeping throughout the night important? Before we even get to the tips, you may ask yourself, "Why is sleeping throughout the night without waking up any better than waking up throughout the night?" The truth is, sleeping throughout the night without awakening is very beneficial to the way you're going to feel in the morning.
You do the math: * One who sleeps without awakening gets 8 hours of sleep * One who sleeps and only awakens a few times may get 7 1/2 hours of sleep.
A half in hour of extra sleep may not really seem like a lot.
However, from personal experience and from what I have learned over the years, an extra half in hour can make all of the difference in the world.
Tips to help you fall asleep and stay asleep : There really isn't anything special about the information I am going to provide other then the fact that it will definitely prevent you from awakening at night.

Use the restroom - Although this may seem obvious, it's usually the number one reason for people awakening in the middle of the night.
They simply just have to use the restroom.
2.
Drinking beverages before bed - If you don't have to do it don't do it.
I don't recommend drinking anything less than an hour before bed unless you absolutely have to.
3.
Comfort level - When you're in bed, make sure you're comfortable.
Do you have enough blankets to keep you warm at night? Maybe you have too many blankets.
To prevent yourself from awakening, be sure to make yourself comfortable before you go to bed.
4.
Hunger - Have you eaten? You can't go to sleep on an empty stomach, but also note that going to sleep on a full one may make falling asleep quite difficult.
I wouldn't try eating food any less than an hour before bed.
