How to Hang a Mirror with Mirror Holders

    • 1). Decide where you want to hang the mirror. It's best to ask a partner to hold the mirror while you decide where it looks best. Remember that people tend to hang mirrors and pictures too high, making them less appealing or functional, so if in doubt, hang it a little lower on the wall.

    • 2). Find the studs' location using the stud finder so you know where to screw in the holders. This is especially important if the mirror is large or heavy, since drywall alone may not be strong enough to hold it up.

    • 3). Hold the mirror against the wall and, working with a partner, pencil in a line at the bottom and top of the mirror. Carefully set the mirror down.

    • 4). Place a bottom anchor about 1/4 of the distance in from the mirror's corner, making sure this spot aligns with a wall stud. Align the mirror holder and anchor holes, and screw in the holder, leaving space to slide in the mirror. Repeat with the remaining three anchors and holders.

    • 5). Slide the mirror into the holders, working with a partner. While your partner supports the mirror, tighten the screws so the mirror is secure against the wall.
