Delete Program Directory

• 1). Click on the "Start" button the computer's desktop and select "Control Panel."
  
  
• 2). Select "Uninstall a Program."
  
  
• 3). Locate the program "Spyware Guard" in the Program folder and select it.
  
  
• 4). Click "Uninstall" and follow the uninstallation prompts.
  
  

Kill Processes

• 1). Click the "Start" button and enter "task" into the blank field at the bottom of the Start menu.
  
  
• 2). Select the option "View running processes with Task Manager."
  
  
• 3). Locate and select the following Spyware Guard 2008 processes:
  
  SpywareGuard.exe
  syscert.exe
  spoolsystem.exe
  reged.exe
  sysexplorer.exe
  uninstall.exe
  spoolsystem.exe
  syscert.exe
  
  
• 4). Select each of the processes, one at a time, listed in Step 3 and click "End Process."
  
  

Delete Registry Values

• 1). Click the "Start" button and enter "regedit" in the field at the bottom of the Start menu. Select "Regedit" from the results.
  
  
• 2). Look for the registry value "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Spyware Guard." Select the small arrow to the left of the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" folder in the left pane to open it. There is a "Software" folder inside. Click on the small arrow to open the "Software" folder. Right-click on the "Spyward Guard" folder and select "Delete."
  
  
• 3). Look for the registry value "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Spyware Guard 2008." Open the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" folder in the left pane. Find the "SOFTWARE" folder inside and open it. Open the "Microsoft" folder inside the "SOFTWARE" folder. Open the "Windows" folder inside the Microsoft folder. Open the "CurrentVersion" folder inside the Microsoft folder. Open the "Uninstall" folder inside the CurrentVersion folder. Right-click on "Spyware Guard 2008" and select "Delete" from the drop-down menu.
  
  
• 4). Look for the following registry value: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run "spywareguard." Open the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" folder in the left pane. Find the "Software" folder inside and open it. Open the "Microsoft" folder inside the Software" folder. Open the "Windows" folder inside the Microsoft folder. Open the "CurrentVersion" folder inside the Microsoft folder. Click on the "Run" folder. Right-click on "spywardguard" in the right pane and select "Delete" from the drop-down menu.
  
  

Unregister DLLs

• 1). Click on the "Start" button and type "cmd" in the search field.
  
  
• 2). Type "cd_olesys.dll" when prompted in the Command window. Press "Enter."
  
  
• 3). Type "regsvr32 /u oleyss.dll" and press "Enter." If the operation was successful, a window will pop up saying the so and will ask you to press "OK."
  
  
• 4). Type "vmreg.dll" when prompted in the Command window. Press "Enter."
  
  
• 5). Type "regsvr32 /u vmreg.dll" and press "Enter." If the operation was successful, a window will pop-up saying the so and will ask you to press "OK."
