- 1). Open the keyboard on your G1 phone. To do this, turn the phone on its side and slide the top piece of the phone to expose the keyboard.
- 2). Highlight the text that you want to copy and paste. To do this, press the "Shift" key on the keyboard and use the scroll ball to select the text. The scroll ball is located at the bottom of the phone.
- 3). Copy the text by pressing the "Menu" button and the "C" key on the keyboard. The "Menu" button is located at the bottom of the phone and is labeled "Menu."
- 4). Paste the text by pressing the "Menu" button and the "V" key on the keyboard. The copied text is pasted.
