Lyrica (Pregabalin) is both an anticonvulsant and an anti-epileptic drug. Its process is very simple, it limits impulses within the brain, which cause seizures and conditions related to brain overactivity, such as anxiety and depression. As well as these conditions it may also be prescribed for use to help treat fibromyalgia and other general nerve related pain which might be cause by nerve damage, or a spinal cord injury.
Lyrica (Pregabalin) is an oral medicine taken either with or without food. For the correct dose for you always consult your GP and follow their directions. If you miss a dose, never increase the next dose to compensate.
Althougth usually not serious, as with any other medication side effects can occur when a patient is taking Lyrica (Pregabalin). Inform your GP of any adverse effects which you experience, and do so promptly if they worsen or become bothersome.
