Halloween Wreaths to Make
- Tubular cones of scrapbooking paper can be formed into a sun-like wreath. Cut an 8-inch circle out of cardboard. Draw a line 2 inches from the edge around the circle. Draw another line 5 inches from the edge around the center part of the cardboard. Roll 36 sheets of 8 1/2-inch square scrapbooking paper in a Halloween theme into cones, and staple or tape the ends. Glue half the cones to the cardboard along the outermost line, first, then along the inner line so they radiate out like a sun burst. Fill in the center with a small circle of craft paper, or small bits of wadded up scrapbooking paper. Glue a soda can tab or string on the back for hanging.
- Cut a circle out of cardboard that measures 12 inches wide. Cut out the center, leaving a 2-inch ring. Take a 24-inch piece or ribbon and pull one end through the center of the ring. Bring the ends of the ribbon together and tie a bow. Glue the ring to the ribbon for stability. Crumple and twist 12-inch sheets of black and orange tissue paper into rosettes. Hot glue these puffy pieces to the cardboard ring, grouping the rosettes tightly together. Once you've coverd the entire ring, and it's ready to hang.
