How to Make a Star-Shaped Birdhouse
- 1). Cut six pieces of plywood 5 7/8 inches each, and two 7 inches by 5 inches using the saw knife.
- 2). Join three of the 5 7/8-inch pieces of plywood, using the ½-inch finishing nails to form a triangle.
- 3). Apply waterproof glue along the joint edge.
- 4). Follow the same procedure with the other three 5 7/8-inch pieces of plywood. Now you have two triangles. Attach them together using the ½-inch finishing nails, but one triangle must be upside down above the other.
- 5). Nail the places in which they intersect to prevent breakage.
- 6). Drill a hole in the front section with the 1 3/8-inch hole saw. The hole must be 2 inches wide and 4 inches high. Smooth the edges of the hole with the sandpaper.
- 7). Take the two 7-by-5 pieces of plywood and put each one on the topmost sides of the star-shaped birdhouse. Attach the edges of the 7-by-5 pieces of plywood together with the finishing nails; this will be your roof. Finally, nail the roof to the star-shaped birdhouse. The center of the roof must be placed on the peak of the triangle-shaped plywood.
