There are some basic things that are needed. Get some solutions for setting up your home office so that it works just how you need it.
What we can do:
1.Create a workplace that provides meaning and purpose for our employees. A place where they feel they are making a difference in the lives of the patients they serve.
2.Encourage your staff to find and utilize their talents. This includes talking to your employees, especially those who are not performing to your expectations.
3.A Place to Write. To make the most of limited space, have shelving installed behind your desk. Books and supplies will be easy to reach.
4.Energize your workday with office exercises. Relieve stress and make you feel better all over. You can stretch right in your desk chair, or close your office door and sit on the floor or use the wall. Why not start by getting out of your chair and touching your toes? While sitting at your desk, extend your legs with knees together and toes pointed upward.
5.Be selective about the things you bring into your office space. You can't bring in too many personal items. Limit the clutter in your office. This will free up valuable space and help you stay focused and organized. Also, regularly purge your files of obsolete documents to keep your storage space free.
6.Sit in Comfort. Select a chair that is comfortable, the right height, and provides proper back and arm support for the type of work you will be doing.
7.Breathe and meditate. Close and rest your eyes while breathing deeply, meditating for five minutes or picturing yourself in a favorite place, like the beach or mountains.
8.Keep germs away from your office. When at work, keep a container of disinfecting wipes at your station, wipe down your desk, computer keyboard, mouse, phone receiver or headset, as well as dialing pad, keep the whole surrounding area wiped clean.
9. Look to your walls for storage. Decide to have built in cabinets or some shelving made. You can designate one wall of the room for your shelving needs so the room doesn't feel too heavy or cluttered.
10.Do it in small doses. Overwhelming tasks like tidying the garage or emptying your email inbox often get ignored entirely. Why? Because we take one look at the task and a cloud of anxiety tells us that it's too big to tackle. Instead of trying to do everything all at once, set a timer for 10 minutes, 15 minutes, or whatever feels right for you. Even 5 minutes of work is better than nothing.
Do the task whole-heartedly and without distractions for the entire time. When the timer goes off, walk away and do something else. You can come back to it in a few minutes, a few hours, or the next day. The important part is to reset your mind with another activity so that it doesn't seem like you've been doing the same thing forever.
These are just a few places to begin. If you need motivation to get the job done, how about rewarding yourself for each fifteen minute session? Give yourself a few dollars towards a much needed vacation or towards a frivolous and unnecessary gift you'd normally never allow yourself to buy. After you get into a regular routine, you will find that being organized... and staying organized isn't as hard as you think. In fact, the more organized you become, the more you free yourself up for things that enrich, fulfill and satisfy your body, mind and soul.
