Vitamins To Improve Memory And Health - Learn A New Health Mantra
My intent to write this article was to stress the particular vitamins and supplements that are meaningful to improving memory.
But a strange thing happened as I was writing and I had to change course just a bit.
Read on.
I studied many foods we eat as I wanted to see if there was duplication between the food and vitamin pills we are taking.
For example if we are taking vitamins to improve memory are there also foods on our daily menu that provide the same vitamins as the pills we are using? The answer is yes, there are a number of foods we eat on a daily basis that provide the same vitamins as those we purchase.
What we have to determine when we examine this situation is do we stay with the purchased vitamin pills or with the food? The determining factor will be if we are eating enough of a portion of the food, to match or surpass the benefit from the pill.
A check of the FDA daily requirement for the vitamin will help supply the answer.
Let's use vitamin c as an example.
This is a water soluble vitamin which means if we consumed more than the FDA recommended amount it would not cause a problem.
Our body would pass the excess through our digestive tract and eliminate it as waste.
But imagine, it only requires one small orange a day to provide the necessary FDA recommendation.
Personally I would rather eat the orange a day and forget about buying any vitamin c tablets.
The list of foods and what they contain in terms of vitamins, minerals, and supplements is outstanding.
Hey, what about the new health mantra you talked about in the title of this article? I'm coming to it very soon, I have not forgotten.
I just want to comment further about the foods we eat.
I spent a few hours preparing a list of foods and the precious elements they contain.
I found a lot of information using the Google search.
Many sites listed foods and the vitamins, supplements, trace elements they contained but most did not include the FDA recommended daily requirement.
I had to do additional research to get that information (again using Google search) but what a great time I had.
Searching foods and what they provide is a lot of fun and you gain a lot of knowledge doing this.
I recommend this exercise highly for everyone.
A bit time to do this, but well worth the effort.
You are going to improve your memory with all you discover as there is a quite a bit to remember.
If you prepare a food list you will see some amazing results concerning certain plant foods.
I was flabbergasted by the amount of vitamins, supplements, trace elements found in broccoli.
What a wonderful healthy food this is.
I was so impressed I went to the food store and bought some broccoli and immediately cut a few pieces to steam.
Wow what a great healthy lunch I had.
Ok, so here is the new health mantra: healthy foods gives a healthy body, a healthy body gives a healthy brain, a healthy brain gives a healthy memory.
That's it? Yeah, that's it.
When you review your food list you are going to discover the overlap that many foods have in relation to the sameness of the precious elements we need.
What this means for improving memory is that many of the foods we eat are either directly or indirectly affecting our memory cause.
The healthy foods for the body translate to healthy foods for the brain and this translates to healthy foods for improving our memory.
You're not impressed with this mantra? Wow, what a tough audience.
