Initial Set-Up Flushing

• 1). Slide an empty funnel into the rails above the area where the coffeepot is set during brewing and set an empty pot under the funnel.
  
  
• 2). Turn the commercial coffee maker ON/OFF switch to ON and set the HEATER switch to OFF if your coffee maker has that option.
  
  
• 3). Open the compartment above the funnel area and pour 2 to 3 pitchers of water in it. Wait 1 to 2 minutes between pitchers before pouring the next one in. Continue until the coffeemaker tank is completely full.
  
  
• 4). Remove the coffee pot when it fills and place another one under the funnel to catch the next pot of water that will be flowing soon. Continue this process until all of the water has flushed through the commercial coffeemaker. If the coffeemaker has the heater option which was set to OFF earlier, skip this step and continue on.
  
  
• 5). Place the heater switch ON after the first pot of coffee is full.
  
  
• 6). Dump the full pot and replace it with another coffeepot to catch the rest of the water that will be flowing.
  
  
• 7). Pour one more pitcher of water into the top screen area and allow it to filter through. Once all of the water has been filtered through, the machine is ready for brewing.
  
  

Brewing the Coffee

• 1). Insert a new filter into the coffee funnel. The funnel should be clean.
  
  
• 2). Pour new coffee grounds into the filter and level the grounds by shaking the funnel until the coffee grounds lay flat.
  
  
• 3). Slide the funnel into the holder above the coffeepot area. There should be rails that will hold the funnel in place.
  
  
• 4). Place a clean, empty coffeepot below the funnel and turn the coffee maker ON/OFF switch to ON.
  
  
• 5). Open the small door above the funnel and pour one pitcher of water into the screened area. The coffee pot will begin filling with fresh hot coffee. Wait until the brewing process is complete before serving the coffee.
