    • 1). Locate the hole in the chair by listening for the leak when pressure is applied on an inflated chair. If you can't find the hole, submerge the suspect area underwater and look for the bubbles that come out of the hole.

    • 2). Mark the hole with a piece of masking tape so you can easily find it.

    • 3). Dry the chair thoroughly using a hair dryer on a low setting. Hold the dryer one foot from the plastic so it doesn't melt it.

    • 4). Cut a patch from a piece of plastic or vinyl that is 1/2 inch wider than the original hole. Use material that is of similar weight and color to the original chair so it blends easily.

    • 5). Fold the patch piece in half and feed it into the hole. Do not let go of the patch. Open the patch up on the inside of the hole so it covers the entire hole. Press the opening against a solid surface, such as a table, to help hold it in place while you open it. Keep working against the hard surface as you glue the patch.

    • 6). Apply a line of vinyl or plastic adhesive around the edge of the hole on the inside of the chair's material.

    • 7). Press the glued chair down onto the patch to secure it.

    • 8). Allow the adhesive to cure according to the manufacturer's instructions or at least 24 hours.
