How to Cover Up Burn Marks on a Porcelain Sink
- 1). Pour several tablespoons of non-bleach cleanser in a bowl.
- 2). Add 35 percent hydrogen peroxide to the bowl. Add just enough to make a paste.
- 3). Dab the paste over the burn stain.
- 4). Spray with ammonia base window cleaner.
- 5). Cover the stain with plastic wrap. Let it set over night.
- 6). Remove the plastic wrap and wash the sink. If any of the burn mark remains, repeat the procedure.
- 7). Wash, rinse and dry the area if the burn mark remains. Proceed with the next step. If the mark is no longer visible, don’t proceed.
- 8). Mix the filler with the hardener, according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The kits typically include filler that may need mixing. Some kits call for combining six parts filler to one part hardener, both of which are normally included in the kit.
- 9). Put a dab of the filler over the burn mark. Allow it to dry. This might take about 15 minutes.
