Definition:

Comprehensive, sometimes referred to as “other than collision” or “comp”, is the coverage that covers physical damage to your vehicle when something other than a collision occurs. Comprehensive coverage includes but is not limited to: fire, theft, vandalism, glass breakage, hitting an animal, and weather related damage. If you have comprehensive and one of the losses listed above, your insurance company will pay to have your vehicle repaired minus your deductible.
