When you love computers so much that you call yourself a computer geek, let your passion inspire your choice of a Halloween costume. Halloween is a great time to poke fun at yourself, so go all-out and dress up like the geekiest geek you can imagine. Alternatively, dress as something computer geeks love. - You might be a computer geek year-round, but on Halloween, intensify your geeky look and let that be your costume. Wear a pair of blue jeans that are too short, a pair of white socks, black shoes, a plaid shirt tucked into your pants and a pair of suspenders. Slick down your hair with gel and wear a large pair of horn-rimmed glasses that have tape holding them together. To make it clear that you are a computer geek, carry a laptop case and wear a jump drive on a lanyard around your neck.
- For computer geeks who love the Apple brand, Steve Jobs is something of a hero. Dressing up as the Apple CEO is fairly simple and involves items you already own or can pick up at a thrift store. Wear a pair of blue jeans with a black turtleneck tucked in and no belt. Complete your costume with a pair of tennis shoes and a pair of glasses. Carry with you an iPod, iPhone, iPad or another Apple accessory. If you don't have one of those items, cut a rectangle out of white cardboard and use a black marker to draw on details that make it resemble an Apple product.
- Dress up as a computer geek's favorite thing, the computer itself. Find a cardboard box that is large enough to fit you from shoulders to mid-thigh. Cut three of the top flaps off the box and let the top become the bottom. With a hole cut out of the bottom for your head and two arm holes in the sides, you'll be able to wear the box. Decorate the box with black spray paint, a silver painted square for a screen, and a keyboard design on the remaining bottom flap. Wear a black sweat suit underneath the costume.
