We all want to be better off especially during this Credit Crunch period.
Most of want to concentrate on how to make more money and this is entirely understandable.
It is the obvious thing to do.
However, you might just be able to feel a lot more financially comfortable if you have a look at what you spend every month.
Here are a few tips to help you to reduce your monthly costs.
1.
Remember what your Granny told you.
"Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves.
" Think every time that you reach into your purse or wallet.
Small things like picking up a newspaper or a chocolate bar everyday can add up to a lot over the course of a year.
Cut back here and you can save a load of cash.
2.
Make a sandwich for lunch and take it to work with you instead of buying something.
Again, this is something that people spend a lot on during the course of a year.
Put the money into a jar every time you make your own sandwich and see the cash build up.
3.
Check your bank account.
What are all those items for? Do you really need every single item? Sometimes, a regular payment can carry on when it should have stopped.
Check that this is not happening to you 4.
Check your mortgage.
What rate are you paying? You could save a fortune by getting this one sorted out.
Book a day's holiday to get it resolved.
5.
Walk or use your bicycle.
We all use our cars far too much especially for short journeys.
It is just a matter of habit.
Take a stroll or cycle down to the local shops the next time you need something.
You will quickly reduce your fuel costs.
You do not have become obsessed with reducing your spending but a little common sense can stop you spending more than you need.
Imagine if you could reduce your monthly costs by 5%.
