- The BBC GCSE Bitesize English games include "Mia Cadaver's Tombstone Timeout," set in a cemetery and involves questions about English and other subjects. There is also "Spherox - The Search for Home." In this game, a character by the name of Spherox is unable to find his way home. However, if you use your knowledge of English, or other subjects, you can help Spherox. Another game is "State of Debate" in which you can defend illegal hoodies using your English skills.
- Channel 4 Learning offers several interactive GCSE English games including "Fridge Magnets" where you use sets of words to create poems about cats, dragons and ghouls, among other things. There is also "Film of The Book" where you choose your favorite book and go ahead and change it into a film. "Is It a Limerick?" and "Quiz Box" are also offered, as is "Missing Links" where you get the start and ending of a story and have to fill in the missing parts.
- The Birmingham Grid for Learning is one of the more enduring remnants of the U.K.'s National Grid for Learning, whose portal closed in 2006. The extensive collection of English learning resources for key stages 3 and 4 are not all games, nor are they categorized as such, but there are certainly games to be found amongst them. Each activity has detailed descriptive notes, quotations from national curriculum documents and links to relevant websites.
- Letts GCSE English offers 40 key topics, using animations and others graphics to help you memorize facts and terminology. Hodder Education's Interactive English Year 9 Dynamic Learning Network Edition DVD-ROM has a large collection of interactive starter activities and other resources. The Times Educational Supplement's TES English section offers over a thousand resources for key stages 3 and 4, as of May 2011, including games and other fun activities.
