Adding Extras to Your Online Business - Fictional eBooks
If you can add something extra to your business, then you'll have an edge on the competition and be able to attract different and more numerous search engine spiders.
Fictional eBooks are one kind of thing you can offer on your business site that many websites do not offer, which gives you a leg up.
How could you sell fictional eBooks on your website? First you have to determine how appropriate offering fiction on your site would be.
For example, if all you sell are clothing, then likely offering fiction alongside it wouldn't make much sense.
On the other side, adult content websites, spiritual websites selling things like incenses, ornaments, and other things; children's websites with toys and clothing, and even business sites selling things like coffee and tea are all ripe places to sell eBooks on the side.
You can even build your business around eBooks, such as an online bookstore! Fictional eBooks don't have to be as long as their bound book counterparts; in fact, non-fiction eBooks are rarely more than a hundred pages, so there's no reason to make your fictional eBook too long if you don't want to.
Indeed, you may wish to make your eBook a book of poetry which wouldn't be long, or a few short stories in one download; whatever you picture being able to sell.
If you want longer pieces, you can sell them by chapter (such as was done a hundred years ago when a chapter would be released per newspaper for example) or by a chunk of chapters.
You have to either write them yourself if you have time or find someone to write them for you and hash out a good payment contract and figure out whether the writer will get full credit or be a ghost writer; this is between you and whomever you hire.
Make sure that your writer has experience in fiction, knows how to write in whatever genres you want to sell and will deliver them in a timely fashion, especially if you're selling chapters.
Make sure they are in the correct format to be downloaded and of course are grammatically correct and everything is spelled right, before putting them up to be downloaded.
Fictional eBooks are still rising in popularity, so why not take advantage of this extra you can offer your customers.
Simply put a new place in your website for a 'bookstore' and start offering them out for sale along with your regular products.
That way, you can sell something extra and attract the attention of people you may not normally attract.
