- 1). Wipe the ceramic stove top clean with a damp paper towel to remove loose residue. Hard food crumbs or dirt may scratch the surface during the scrubbing process, so remove as much of it as possible.
- 2). Apply a ceramic stove top cleaner to the stained sections of the stove top. A thin stripe of cleaner across the diameter of the burner is adequate for most burn marks.
- 3). Scrub the cleaner onto the stove top with a damp paper towel until the burn marks vanish. Scrub with an all-purpose scrubbing sponge if the burn marks do not come out with the paper towel.
- 4). Wipe the stove top with a moistened paper towel to remove the cleaning residue. Wipe the stove top dry with a dry sheet of paper towel.
