- 1). Brush damp hair back along the natural grain of your waves. Keep brushing, until your waves look defined.
- 2). Apply a dime-sized amount of pomade to your palm and rub your hands together to warm and melt it.
- 3). Work the pomade from the roots out and style it into the desired shape with your hands and fingers. Add more pomade if necessary, a dime-sized amount at a time.
- 4). Put a wave cap over your hair for added shine and definition and wear it overnight. Wave caps only work if your hair is about an inch long or shorter.
