How to Clean a Composite Stone Shower Pan
- 1). Fill a plastic pail with 1 gallon of warm water. Add 1 tbsp. of mild liquid dish soap to the water. Thoroughly mix the solution.
- 2). Soak a microfiber cloth in the soapy solution. Wipe the shower pan with the wet cloth. Scrub stubborn grime and stains with a nonabrasive nylon sponge. Frequently rinse the cloth with fresh water to prevent reapplying grime to the shower pan and scratching the stone.
- 3). Rinse the shower pan with warm water to wash away the soapy solution and grime.
- 4). Dry the shower pan with a terry cloth towel. Inspect the shower pan for remaining soap scum. If soap scum remains on the stone, fill a spray bottle with 1/2 cup of household ammonia and 1 gallon of cool water.
- 5). Spray the ammonia solution over the soap scum. Scrub the soap scum with a nylon scrub brush until the stains are completely removed.
- 6). Rinse the shower pan with warm water to wash away the loosened soap scum and ammonia solution.
- 7). Dry the shower pan with a clean terry cloth towel. Do not leave any moisture on the stone.
