- 1). Look at the tag on a piece of European baby clothing and locate the size.
- 2). Measure the baby's length in centimeters if you don't have a piece of European clothing.
- 3). Select the measurement range that the baby's length or European size corresponds to. Infants measuring 43 to 48 cm will wear a "Newborn," size in the United States. Other baby size conversions include: 48 to 58 cm, size 3 months; 60 to 66 cm, size 6 months; 68 to 71 cm, size 9 months; 73 to 76 cm, size 12 months; 78 to 81 cm, size 18 months; and 83 to 89 cm, size 24 months.
