How to Stop Squeaking on a Speed Queen Dryer

    • 1). Stop the Speed Queen dryer and look inside the unit. Examine the drum for loose items that may be causing noise and remove them if present.

    • 2). Check for items that may be caught between the housing and the drum inside the dryer. Turn off and unplug the machine before attempting to remove the object with a pair of pliers.

    • 3). Look at the base of the machine and adjust the feet if needed. If the feet are uneven or are rocking slightly during use, the machine may make a squeaking noise.

    • 4). Contact Speed Queen for help, as other potential issues include damaged or broken rollers, pulleys, gliders, drum bearings or blower wheels.
