Review: Skin Authority: Oil Nutrient for Face, Hair and Nails
Introduction: Oil Nutrient for Face, Hair and Nails is a head-to-toe product made to soothe even the severely dry areas of your skin. It comes in a 1 ounce pump top bottle and currently retails for $29 and can be purchased on Skin Authority's website.
How to Use: From Skin Authority's website:
- FACE & BODY. Rub a few drops between the palms of your hands or add to your moisturizer and smooth over skin, concentrating on rough patchesÂ
Â
- SCALP & HAIR. On damp or dry hair before styling hair work a few drops into the scalp and through the ends of strands.Â
 - NAILS. Rub a few drops into the nails and cuticles
My Review: Before I say another word, I need to just say, I absolutely adore this product. I am in love with every last little thing about this oil combination.Â
I'll admit that I have a little obsession with oils and skin care. Here are a few that I've fell in love with over the years with links on their skin benefits.
- Argan Oil (my favorite)
- Jojoba Oil
- Rose Hip Oil
- Avocado Oil
I love the ease of using individual oils in my beauty and skin care routine, but I love it when I can get a combination of oils without having to do the work of mixing them myself.
That's what Oil Nutrient for Face, Hair and Nails is - a blend of amazing oils that have great skin benefits.Â
What Oils are in the Blend: Sunflower oil, safflower oil, grapeseed oil, avocado oil, rosehip seed oil, petitgrain oil, bergamot oil, cardamon oil, jasmine oil.
What I Loved:
- The Scent: is to die for. I have been sniffing this oil for weeks now trying to narrow down the strongest oil smell, but for the life of me, I can't, but I'm pretty sure it's the combination of bergamot and rosehip oil that smell so delicious together.Â
Skin Authority's website says this oil, "promotes a sense of well-being and clearing of the mind" and I 100% agree. I can't get enough. The smell doesn't last long, so if you're worried about an essential oil smell, don't be. It lasts just long enough to make it amazing and leave you missing it when it's gone.
 - Curing Dry Cuticles: I use oils head to toe, but I'm always blown away by their ability to instantly soothe dry cuticles and fingernails. This product makes your nails and cuticles instantly look and feel better and with continued use, you'll see true healing of cuticles happen. It's especially great for winter when many suffer with dry cuticles.
 - Facial Moisturizer: Don't be afraid to use oils on your face. A tiny bit was all I needed to have moisturized skin all day long. It does take a little bit to soak in, but once it is completely absorbed, there is no greasy feeling left behind.
 - Price: Skin Authority's products are usually at a higher price point, so I was completely surprised to see this oil blend priced at $29. 1 ounce might not seem like a lot, but when you're talking about oil, it lasts what seems like forever. I've been using it for two weeks now and have hardly made a dent in the amount.
What I didn't Like:
- I hate it when oils aren't in pump bottles, so I was glad to see this one was, but the pump, in my opinion, pumps out too much oil. It's hard to get just a tiny amount to come out.
 - While this was perfect for my skin, it was too heavy for my hair. I only put a tiny bit on and I felt my hair was greasy looking for the rest of the day. I have thick, coarse hair, so if you have have fine or thin hair, just keep this to the skin alone.
