Smoking In Public
I do not feel anyone should smoke in a school and subject youngsters to smoking.
College and university is a different story.
Let them smoke if they want, just not in class.
Tobacco used to be a big business for a lot of people including the government.
Since the business is failing and courts are awarding judgments against tobacco companies, people are jumping on the bandwagon to force someone to do what they want.
I say to all you nonsmokers who cares.
You can't tell me that the second hand cigarette smoke causes your cancer or mine for that matter any more than I can prove that it was caused by the rapid influx of the automobile and all its by products.
I remember when everyone said people were getting sick because of all the smoke trapped in duct work of air conditioning systems in hospitals, nursing homes, and office buildings.
What hype! Everything in the air goes through those ducts and guess what ,they were rarely,if ever, cleaned.
Now what do we do? We blame the smoker and stop him from smoking in the building but we clean the ducts at regular intervals.
If you have stopped the source why don't you breath your air? This is a redundant and senseless argument that the nonsmoker will win for sure.
I say let's as smokers find something they like and complain until it is banned.
It shouldn't be so hard because when we quit smoking everything will bother us! I for one am tired of everyone else knowing what is good for me and my friends.
Maybe it isn't as bad as you think.
Sometime when you are not riding that band wagon maybe you should look at some of the contradictory reports on tobacco and its health effects.
