Knew This House in a Past Life

When I was a little girl, my mom and some family members visited an old dilapidated home. Everyone was silent upon arrival, but I ran up to the boarded-up door and said, "Oh, how I have missed this place!" with such enthusiasm.

My mom looked at me and said, "Honey, you have never been here. Heck,I haven't been here since I was a teenager." That upset me tremendously, and I remember telling everyone the layout of the inside, where there was a washbowl near the kitchen, where we washed our hands when we came inside to eat, and every morning we had bacon with gravy biscuits (best gravy ever!

).

There was a lot of other stuff that was said and all of it was true. I can't remember it all now, but it has always stuck with me. I have had numerous déjà-vu experiences that I can't explain. I am constantly looking at photos from the early 1900s and the 1960s and feeling overwhelmingly nostalgic to the point of wanting to cry.

As a footnote, all my life I have been seen as an "old soul" to many people. Since I was a little girl, I have preferred the company of older people. Maybe some insight into what has been happening to me all my life would help me understand it better because I know I'm not the only one.
