Water Spot Cleaning a Wool Carpet Stain

1). Lay a towel or paper towel over the stain or spot. Step on it to absorb as much liquid as possible.
2). Dampen a cloth using cool water. Blot the cloth over the spot or liquid. Remove as much of the stain or spot as possible.
3). Mix one cup lukewarm water with 1 tbsp. liquid laundry detergent in a bowl. Dip a cloth in the mixture and blot on to any set-in or hard-to-remove stains. Continue until the spot is gone.
4). Blot the carpet with a water dampened cloth, to remove all soap residue.
5). Allow the carpet to air dry. Periodically, rub your hand over the area so the carpet tufts do not dry stiff.
6). Run the vacuum over the dry carpet to remove any remaining dirt and help loosen stiff carpet tufts and fibers.
