How to Build an Opt In Email List of Hungry Buyers - Part 1
First, with a list of say 5,000 to 10,000 subscribers you can send out a single email offer and generate a hundred times more potential profit then your one product sale alone.
I order to be successful building and maintaining a quality list you will need a few things.
An email manager is absolutely 100% necessary if you want to be successful with your list.
I personally recommend a service like AWeber, for the money you will not go wrong.
They allow you to build opt in forms, track unlimited lists etc.
That service starts at about $19.
00 a month.
You need a quality strong sign up page or better known as a squeeze page.
You will have to experiment with these and track your results to see which ones work best for you.
In order to get lots of sign ups you definitely need a compelling offer to attract potential customers.
People are overloaded with free offers and newsletters in their inboxes.
Personally I believe to add value(we assume the special offer already has value) I charge a small amount for the digital product like 5 to 10 dollars.
Believe it or not this adds value, plus you get a list of buyers and not just people looking for freebies.
(Remember your paying to maintain that list, why not make it pre qualified with people you've already sold to).
In order to maintain that list (once their signed up) you need to send your subscribers weekly emails of valuable information that they subscribed for.
Do not just send out offers for them to purchase your products or affiliate products.
If you do, one of two things will happen.
One, they will get fed up and unsubscribe or two they will ignore your emails altogether.
They stay on your list, you keep paying, they buy nothing.
You should keep the offers to maybe once every month or find a way to incorporate them in the email content.
In part 2 we will discuss traffic generation techniques and more list building ideas.
