Are you looking for a cure for sweaty armpit? Sweaty armpit is a condition that many people suffer from, yet nobody wants to talk about it because of embarrassment. On top of having to face the embarrassment of the sight of sweaty armpit stains, the sufferer also has to cope with the smell of his armpits!

For us, sweating is our body’s natural way of cooling down and regulating body temperature. There are 2 types of sweat glands, called apoccrine and eccrine sweat glands. Contrary to popular belief, the amount of sweat each person produces is dependant on the activity of their nerve cell activity of the sweat glands, instead of the number of sweat glands the person has.

Excessive sweating affects about 1% of the population, with sweaty armpit being one of its most common forms. It is normal for people to sweat, but for the 1% of the population, their excessive sweating may be genetically caused, and they can sweat even if they are not feeling warm or nervous.

If you need a cure for sweaty armpit, there are certainly many treatment methods available. Different people have differing opinions on excessive sweating treatment. Some people feel that it is worth it to spend more money to cure sweaty armpit, whereas others feel that covering the effects of sweating (like removing sweat stains) is good enough. One of the most popular cures for sweaty armpit is to use antiperspirants and deodorants. Several people have reported that it is a good cure, but as an ex-hyperhidrosis sufferer, antiperspirants and deodorants were not effective for me, while I had to keep spending money on them.

Another way you should try to slow down sweaty armpits is to control your diet. It will not totally cure your excessive sweating problem, but it can at least reduce some negative effects of excessive sweating. For example, eating foods like garlic, spicy food and onions will change the smell of your sweat. By eating less of such food, you can reduce the intensity of foul smelling sweat.

By shaving your armpit hair, you can reduce the amount of sweat that your armpit hair holds, while at the same time, reduce the amount of bacteria in your underarms. If you suffer from intense armpit sweating, it would be a good idea to shave your underarm hair.

A way that I have used to treat my excessive sweating is by using natural remedies. This method involves using readily available products at home that are applied every morning and night.

As a last resort, you may try more expensive types of treatments like surgery or Botox injections, but they should never be considered until all else fails. Botox is a type of poison, and Botox injections can be very painful and needs to be repeated every few months. There are also possible side effects that come with Botox injections that you must understand first before you consider it. Surgery involves cutting of nerves in your body that cause sweating. It is an expensive form of treatment that requires anesthesia, yet is not guaranteed to work. Few people would choose this treatment method since it leaves scars on the body.
