Don"t Wait For Good Offers

Don't wait for good credit card offers.
That does sound like a very nonsensical remark, but it has a lot of truth behind it.
Although credit card companies are known to offer great rates in order to convince you to choose them as a credit supplier, once they have you hooked, they may let you sit at whatever rate you joined at - even if over time you deserve a better rate.
Rather than waiting for them to come out and offer you a good interest rate, you need to go to them.
So yes, don't wait for good credit card offers - actively seek them with your current credit suppliers.
If you're relatively new to a company or if your credit hasn't changed much since you joined, you're probably not going to be able to make much of a difference in your rates, no matter how much you negotiate with your credit supplier.
However, if you've been a loyal customer for five years and have been consistently paying your bills (quickly and well above the minimum payment) yet you're still sitting at an 8.
95% interest rate, it's definitely time to act.
Even if you aren't looking to switch credit companies, you need to look around and see what the other companies would offer you.
You can use this as a type of a threat.
If you're a loyal customer of Company A, tell Company A that Company B is offering you 2% less on the interest.
Let them know that you'd like to continue working with them as long as they're willing to compete at least a little bit with the rates that you're being offered elsewhere.
This will work surprisingly well with most credit companies.
Be careful though - if you show your credit supplier an offer that is an introductory rate, you might end up doing nothing more than making a fool of yourself.
Don't be complacent.
Actively search out how you can get yourself a better deal.
If you're willing to pay more, they'll let you - but just remember that you don't always have to pay more if you don't want to.
