Search terms included free text words and combinations of the following terms 'small intestinal bacterial overgrowth', 'small bowel bacterial overgrowth', 'diagnostic tests', 'treatment', 'antibiotics', 'probiotics', 'metabonomics', 'proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy', 'electronic nose' and 'field asymmetric ion mobility spectrometry'.
