Them VS Us in Space - Not A Good Long-Term Plan
For instance consider that all those involved in the Space Race are human and have a commonality for exploration.
A Them VS Us in Space is not a good long-term plan.
Mutual Assistance is much smarter for the betterment of all mankind, especially when it comes to the vacuum of space.
Too many things can go wrong up there and it is dangerous as well.
An international group needs to form that allows for all comer regardless of their nationality or potential conflicts here on Earth.
They will need to bury the hatchet and come together in a common cause of discovery, exploration and innovation that will move beyond this pale blue dot.
What sort of group should be formed? Could it be a Space Federation, Space Republic or would a International Human Space Franchise System be best? We must consider all the possibilities and join in a mission, which is larger than the conflicts on Earth, which seems to be nothing more than an unfortunate repeat of past follies.
There is no sense in being doomed to this continual cycle of violence.
And without condemnation mankind's wars have indeed allowed for maximum innovation due to military efforts but, for space this does not make sense and we need to see that everyone works together to take the human species to the next step.
Please consider this in 2006.
