Nicole decides to sit down. Lexie urges Nicole to get some rest today after she eats. Nicole promises and Lexie apologizes for having to dash out of the ceremony. She assures Lexie that it doesn’t matter and was just glad she was there. Lexie shares how she encountered a girl in the vestibule, who remarked how Sydney was the most beautiful baby she’d ever seen. She admits that she invited the girl in, but she was really shy, and the girl was watching the ceremony as if it was her own baby.
Nicole questions how old she was and what she looked like. Lexie refers to Mia as a pretty blond teenager. An uncomfortable Nicole excuses herself and goes into the foyer, insisting to Tony that they need to talk.
On the Pier
A distressed Sami later meets up with Rafe and embraces him. She reveals that she went to the christening and explains that Nicole and E.J. were at the pub waiting for Johnny, then Father Matt showed up and asked if she was going to go. Rafe isn’t happy to hear this and knows how stressed out she is about everything. Sami recalls how beautiful the christening was and gets emotional, stating that it’s wrong she’s not doing the same for Grace. “I have to go get her and bring her home!” she insists. Rafe reminds her that they talked about it and insists that she has to wait for Grace’s sake. He can’t even believe she attended the christening after what the DiMeras have done to her. He warns her about what could happen if this was a custody hearing in front of a judge, predicting that they could say she endangered the child’s welfare.
He reveals that he saw Grace today and assures her that they’ll bring her home for good. They are interrupted by his phone. Sami receives a call from E.J., who reveals that Johnny has an ear infection. She says she’ll be right there and leaves. After Rafe gets off the phone, he notices that Sami has left and wonders where she went.
Back at the Mansion
Tony notes how agitated Nicole seems and suggests that she have Lexie check her out. Nicole needs to know what he wants from her. She predicts that E.J. won’t believe Tony if he chooses to reveal that she’s not Sydney’s mother. Tony believes otherwise. She asks how much he wants, recalling his little performance at the church. “Your situation is a lot more serious than you think! You don’t have anything I want, anything at all,” he affirms.
Back in the living room, Lexie is about to go and marvels how beautiful Sydney is. She assures E.J. that Johnny will be much better tomorrow. E.J. thanks her. Lexie says goodbye to Stefano and cracks a joke about how glad she was that he wasn’t struck by lightning standing in the church praying. E.J. and Stefano laugh. After Lexie heads out, Stefano expresses how he enjoys having all of his children together with all of this wit. “Well I have to admit, uh, hearing you renounce Satan is like listening to uh, Keith Richards preach moderation,” jests E.J. Stefano jokes how E.J. wounds him. E.J. embraces him and Stefano wants to have a quick word about Nicole.
In the foyer, Tony dauntingly tells Nicole that money isn’t what he’s looking for. She questions what does he want. “Revenge, perhaps, I don’t know,” he ponders. Nicole assumes that Tony is jealous of E.J.’s success. Tony denies this and vows that Stefano won’t succeed at humiliating him. A daunted Nicole questions what Tony is going to do to her family. Sami suddenly barges in and questions where E.J. is. Nicole points to the living room.
Stefano recalls how Nicole fainted at the church. E.J. reminds Stefano that Nicole doesn’t like big family affairs. “You think that’s all there is to it?” wonders Stefano. Sami enters and Stefano excuses himself. She sarcastically remarks how nice it is to hear E.J. happy and planning his wedding while their son is sick. E.J. says Johnny’s fine and apologizes for upsetting her earlier. She asks him to just get Johnny. He asks her to keep an eye on Sydney while he gets Johnny. “Of course. She’s the only member of this family I like,” replies Sami.
After E.J. heads upstairs, Sami phones Sister Theresa and asks about Grace. Sister Theresa admits that Grace is a little fussy and they’ve run out of Sami’s frozen milk, so she asks if she can give Grace some formula. Sami agrees to allow it. Sister Theresa also believes that Grace’s diaper rash is a little worse and wonders if the baby is having some sort of reaction. “I’m coming to get Grace. I’m bringing my baby home,” announces Sami. E.J. overhears and wonders what she means.
Meanwhile, Nicole wonders why Tony decided not to spill the beans at the christening. “Timing is everything, Nicole. Might as well use it to my advantage,” he conveys. He warns that the truth always comes out. “So that defenseless baby in there. You don’t mind making her collateral damage,” assumes a shaken Nicole. Tony retorts that it’s Nicole’s life that will be blown to hell and threatens to tell all now if she’s in such a hurry.
Back at the Pub
Mia returns and Will lights up like a Christmas tree, wondering if she’s looking for her keys. He introduces Mia to Caroline. Mia compliments her on the pub. Caroline proceeds to warm the food up and encourages Will to get her a soda. Mia apologizes for taking off earlier, but Will insists that she doesn’t have to explain. He finally introduces himself as Will Horton and shakes her hand. She introduces herself as Mia. “So, you’re like Beyonce, no last name?” he questions. “Her last name is Knowles,” answers Mia. He assumes she’s a pretty private person. Caroline brings the food back to the table and Mia apologizes for not being able to pay. Caroline smiles that it’s okay, since she’s Will’s guest. Mia tells Will that she can’t take handouts. “Well I may not know your last name, but I do know you’re kind of a jerk,” he chides. He quickly apologizes for his remark, insisting that his grandma is friendly. She claims she really has to go, so Will offers to wrap her food up. She thanks him.
